The Motify Upsell Promoter© is a unique combination of hardware and software aimed at helping (checkout)staff to offer the most relevant additional products to customers. This greatly increases the chance of an additional transaction, and at the same time increases customer satisfaction.

How does the Upsell Promotor work?

The Motify Upsell Promoter© is placed next to the cash register and faces the employee. Based on the items a customer checks out initially, the tablet shows a selection of products that are suitable for additional sales. Each product has a sales target. When an additional purchase of a certain product has taken place, the employee indicates this on the tablet. When the target is reached, the border around the product turns green.

In doing so, the employee is constantly aware of the possibility of relevant additional sales and knows what is expected of them.

Selection of products for additional sales

The selection of additional products and the associated sales targets, can be provided in 3 ways:

  • Manually: a responsible (store) manager makes a selection of products that can be resold per location in the Motify library and assigns numerical targets;
  • Data Driven: the historical cash register data is loaded into the Motify systems, which automatically makes products appear including the underlying targets;
  • Machine Learning: Motify is linked to the cash register system in question. Based on the current cash register data, Motify suggests per transaction a number of products that fit the transaction in question.

Gamification

Each employee has their own account, allowing personal performance to be tracked. Employees can also view each other’s performance via the tablet, creating a healthy competition.
