Protecting personal data
We take suitable measures to prevent your personal data from being lost, misused, made public and/or changed without your consent. We take the protection of your personal data seriously. If you feel like we are not protecting your personal data well enough, or if you have found indications of (potential) misuse of your data, please get in touch with us through the contact details above.
Locatus counts footfall through WiFi sensors. This means that we count the number of visitors walking on a street or shopping centre – anonymously. This lets retailers, local governments, and real-estate agents know where it’s busy, and where not. Our methodology complies, due to the changes mentioned above, with the AVG/GDPR laws that are effective the 25th of May 2018 onwards. You can read more about this in our Privacy Protocol for Footfall 24/7.
